Do you offer a Consultation?
Absolutely! I provide a complimentary half-hour consultation to assess whether my services align perfectly with your requirements.
What are your Fees?
Research and report services are available at a rate of $50 per hour, ten hour minimum, with a required $250 retainer fee.
Do I have sign a Contract?
I require a standard genealogy contract outlining the scope of research and reports, along with a retainer, before work can commence.
WIll I recieve a Detailed Report?
Absolutely. The report is encompassed within the time and fees. It will feature a comprehensive, fully-sourced account of any records uncovered, conclusions drawn from the findings, or explanations for any information not found. Additionally, it will include detailed family charts with key dates and locations.
Is your work guaranteed?
I guarantee that I will use the contracted time to find what is available for our objectives. It should be understood that some research will run into dead ends due to lack of records, destroyed records, or insufficient ground information. You will be billed for any time utilized for research and reporting, even if it does not yield the desired results.
Do you have minimum hour requirements for research?
Have a minimum requirement of ten hours for research and reporting, during which time is diligently logged. Should the research and reporting conclude in less than ten hours, you will be billed accordingly and not for the full ten hours. Should the research require additional time, I will seek your approval before proceeding further.
Are the additional fees?
Additional fees may be incurred for copies, records ordered from archives (when necessary), parking, and mileage. If I am working with multiple clients simultaneously, parking and mileage fees will be shared among clients accordingly.
